Sorry guys, GeekSweat has been slipping on its pimpin. The week has been insanely busy which has made it difficult to keep up the regular flow. But enough of this B.S. let’s get talking about the games.
Talk about worst week to slip on the game news — Dragon Age 2 got let out of its cage, releasing Tuesday, and has received slightly less than stellar reviews. For real though, check out MetaCritic.com for the reviews and prepare to get a little depressed. From my first impressions I was almost agreeing with some of the lower scored reviews, but if that is how you are feeling too, just keep on playing — it only gets better. I never like to listen to those guys anyhow. Frankly, rockin’ the sword and shield warrior and acting as an unstoppable battering ram while my mage sister scorches darkspawn to a crisp is enough to keep me entertained.
Deus Ex: Revolution finally has a release date. The highly anticipated shooter from the future will be hitting stores on August 23 on PC and consoles. There is going to be a Augmented version available for a mere $69.99 and will give you some exclusive in game items/ weapons and the usual special edition swag with a behind-the-scenes documentary, comic, art, and sound track from the game.
L.A. Noire receives yet another trailer. No other words are needed for this one other than, “Shit, son!”
PAX east is hitting Boston this weekend. So much to see and do and play. It’s already too late for you east coasters to get in on the action though. The expo has already sold out. If you are really desperate, I’m sure you can hit up some scalpers or battle one of the cosplay nerds to the death and pry a pass from their cold dead hands.
That’s all of the news I wanted to mention. Want to talk about something I missed? Hit up the comments.
