Cole’s adventures as a superhero continue in Infamous 2 which Sony has announced to be hitting stores on June 7, 2011. Along with the release date announcement come the details on the Hero Edition option for the game.
The Hero Edition comes with all kinds of goodies for the Infamous super fan. In the big ass box you will find:
- Infamous 2
- 8.5 inch Cole Statue
- Infamous DC mini-comic
- Sling Pack backpack
- Infamous 2 Supervoucher which enables exclusive in-game items to be used in the game including: Kessler ski, 24k gold amp weapon, the electrocution grenade power, and the lightning hook power.
- Collectors edition sound track
I think it is a little lame that there is some holding out on some of the super powers for those who buy the standard edition. It is unclear whether the electrocution grenade or lighting hook powers will only be available to Hero Edition buyers or if they can eventually be unlocked in the game. This special is pretty awesome regardless. The Sling Pack can potentially be used to lug around the NGP when it gets released and the Cole statue would make a pretty nifty decoration for a work desk. The only thing to consider is if it is worth the 99 dollar price tag.
