I am not really the FPS freak out of all of the guys on the Geek Sweat team. I like the genre well enough, but I just was not as excited about the release of the new Call of Duty: Black Ops. That is until I actually played it.
My fellow gamers of the household convinced me to attend the midnight launch of Black Ops last night, but not after my fair share of resistance. I think the comment that finally got me to get off my ass and go was when my roommate looked at me and said, “Come on…” Giving into peer pressure, I was off to my local Gamestop, and I am happy I went.
Black Ops is definitely living up to the hype. It is one of the most addicting FPS experiences I have had in a while. There are so many guns, game modes, attachments, equipment, a other customizations to unlock it reminds me of when I was hooked on the Warcrack.
We will get our full review of the game out within the next week or so (if we can get some time away from the wager matches). But in the mean time check out our gameplay footage by Adrian.
